Rock Cycle Fodable
Making the Foldable
1. Stack two sheets of paper on top of each other.
2. Slide the papers so that they are staggered. They should be staggered about 2 cm apart.
3. Fold both papers in two. The edges of the paper should make four tabs. Each tab should be 2 cm apart.
4. Staple at the top.
5. You now have created a foldable with 4 tabs.
Metamorphic Rocks
1. Define metamorphic rocks and explain how they are formed.
2. Draw at least one picture of a metamorphic rock or how it was formed.
3. Give at least 5 examples of metamorphic rocks. You may use your notes and/or your book (pgs. 307, 334-337) for examples.
Igneous Rocks
1. Define igneous rocks and explain how they are formed.
2. Draw at least one picture of an igneous rock or how it was formed.
3. Give at least 5 examples of igneous rocks. You may use your notes and/or your book (pgs. 306, 314-317) for examples.
4. Define the following words: – Magma – Lava – Intrusive – Extrusive
Sedimentary
1. Define sedimentary rocks and explain how they are formed.
